How the RVFit Score Works
RVFit Score is RVFitFinder's own transparent scoring system. It is not a Google rating, not an official park rating, and not a paid placement — here's exactly how it's built.

How missing data is handled
Most components require data RVFitFinder doesn't have for every park yet (guest ratings, review sentiment, pricing). Rather than scoring an unknown component as a failure, the engine only uses components it actually has data for, and re-weights across those. A park needs at least 3 known components covering at least 50% of the total methodology weight to get a score at all — below that, the page shows "Not enough data yet" instead of a number that would look more confident than it is. In practice, that means no RVFit Score is shown yet for any park today: 8 of the 13 weighted components (guest rating, review volume, review recency, and every sentiment category) require review/rating data that isn't connected while Google Places integration stays disabled — see below.
Where the underlying data comes from
Every park currently in RVFitFinder was researched individually from that park's own official website — never scraped from Google Maps, and no review content is copied from any source. RVFitFinder's Google Places integration exists in the codebase but is intentionally turned off (no live Google data, no API costs) while the RV Park Intelligence feature is validated. If it's ever enabled, Google-derived ratings will be clearly labeled as Google's and kept visually separate from the RVFit Score, per Google's attribution requirements.
