RV Site Length vs. RV Length: What’s the Difference?
Two numbers that sound the same but answer different questions — and why mixing them up is the most common RV-fit mistake.

RV length
This is a fact about your vehicle: its full physical length, bumper to bumper. It doesn't change from campground to campground. Manufacturer spec sheets sometimes list a shorter "floor plan length" that excludes bumpers, ladders, or spare tires — measure your actual rig if you're not certain.
Campsite (or "site") length
This is a fact about the specific parking pad at a specific campsite: the longest vehicle it can physically hold. It's set by the campground, varies site to site, and is what RVFitFinder's fit tool and every campground page report.
The rule
Your RV length (plus anything towed, per campground policy) needs to be less than or equal to the site's length. Not "close to." Not "probably fine." A site listed at 30 ft and an RV measuring 31 ft, even by a foot, is a mismatch — that foot is often the difference between backing in cleanly and blocking the loop road.
